Good day!
The month of February was a good one for Chinese all over the world since it was the Chinese New Year. Celebrations here in Singapore seemed a little quieter to me this year but someone decided to set up an old school fairground as part of the celebrations that we call the River Hongbao.
Inspired by the many other fairground pictures available online, I set out to make my own!

Shot with Velvia Slide with a Seagull 4. I think it was exposed for 2 mins at f22. I really should write this down.
The Seagull mounted on a tripod certainly drew a lot of stares. Only one guy recognised it for what it really was and dragged his very shy girlfriend/wife to look into the viewfinder. Literally. DRAGGED her over.
A curious malay guy thought it was a video camera. “So you are recording this now?”
“Well, it’s film, I’m taking a single shot now.”
“Wah”
The shot above is kinda overexposed, so I tried to fix it. Results shown below.

This just brings images of Terminator 2 to my mind. I don’t really know why. It just does.
Finally, the type of shot that inspired me to do this in the first place. Edited for contrast and brightness.
