I finally got around to getting my very first camera bag, and I must admit it’s a bit of an indulgence. It has been a trying couple of months lugging around my precious SLR and toy cams in my slingbag / tote bag and putting every little thing in individual, padded pouches. But anyhoo, here are the things in my camera bag.

So here you go. My very first camera bag is a much lusted-after Artisan & Artist ‘Torpedo’ bag. Yes, it was an impulse buy but I really couldn’t find another camera bag I loved enough to splurge on. It was just the right size, look and material. Absolutely love it. Hooked up Heartagram pendant and rings on the side.

Right below it is my VW wallet (gift frm ex-coll Uma) and wallet buddies with @luc_sohow. And of course, never leave home without my trusty coin pouch and ez-link card.

Normally, I would be shooting with my main camera, the Minolta X-700 with a 28-85mm f/3.5-4.5 Rokkor MD Zoom lens. But today I’ve brought out the family heirloom, the Nikon FE2 with a Nikkor 50mm f1.8 AIS lens. It’s my first time bringing this baby out and I’m loving it! Also packed a 55mm polarizing filter with a step-up adapter and a 52mm red filter for the B&W roll. Loaded today is the Ilford Delta 100.

I usually label my films so that I don’t have to open them up to see what film is inside! Makes things so much easier that way, so that’s why you see the tiny sticker labels. 4 rolls of film includes my favorite Agfa Precisa CT100, Agfa Vista 400, Portra VC 160 and Ilford Delta 400.

Next, its my very first toy camera - the BlackBird,Fly in red. This was a gift from my best friends on my birthday last year and is my go-to TLR toy camera. (There is also a GakkenFlex and Lubitel 2 at home.) Loaded in it was a roll of Solaris 100.

Finally, a marker for labelling purposes and a small drawstring pouch, just in case I need to have ‘additional’ compartmentalisation for any of the items in my camera bag.
